Good News for all the airtel 3G users, since the competition is till high on the telecom this time its not on tariff, it’s on the Data where now every operator is wooing its customer to go for the 3G data plans.
Initially when the services were launched the data plans seems to be on the higher End.
These cut throat competition is coming after Idea and Vodafone launched its 3G services with intra circle agreement with airtel where partnered operator are providing more data than the telecom who has got the license to launch the 3G services.
The double data benefit offer is available for 3 months starting September 19th.
Few months back when Idea Cellular also offered similar kind of plans to its customers by offering double data at same cost till July 31st, it has extended its offer till 31st Dec 2011, Followed by Reliance which is offering triple data till October 31st, 2011 in some packs.( 3G not available in South for reliance customers).
We expect other operator’s like Tata & Aircel to take same kind of initiative as the presence of 3G services of these operator are more

why no unlimited plan.
Prabal September 26, 2011 at 4:14 pm
@varun
Ahh, that is what I am telling you. 3G packs can also be used for free in Roaming.
Sanjeev Kumar Verma September 26, 2011 at 11:17 am
@Ankit. There was some confusion as Airtel’s website was still displaying the old data plans for Delhi circle. Indeed this increased data availability is also in Delhi circle. Today I activated a Rs 200 plan which is giving 500 MB( old data 250MB) and yes it is lightning fast. One 6 MB song downloaded in less than 10 seconds.
Ankit September 26, 2011 at 11:03 am
same here in mumbai but i don’t care coz i use vodofone which give me 1gb @ 375
Sanjeev Kumar Verma September 25, 2011 at 11:59 pm
Please note that these enhanced data plans are not applicable in Delhi where you will still get only 2GB on a plan of Rs 750. Nothing has changed in any plans in the Delhi circle.
varun September 25, 2011 at 12:40 pm
I AM USING IDEA 3G SPEED ON OLD IDEA CONNECTON WITH 2G PLANS , i.e. 98 GIVES 2GB DATA, I ACTIVATE THRU *150*98#, I GET UPTO 5.4 MBPS SPEED AT NIGHT AND 1.7MBPS – 4.7MBPS ON AVERAGE DURING DAY, ITS BEEN 2 MONTHS SINCE I AM USING… AS FAR AS AIRTEL IS CONCERNED WITH USING 3G MODE ON 2G PLANS I GET 2G SPEED ONLY BUT SURFING EXPERIENCE IS GOOD..
Raghu September 25, 2011 at 12:20 pm

George September 24, 2011 at 11:15 pm
Maybe now 2g packs cannot be used for 3g but earlier there was some kind of bug in it and a normal 2g recharge would give 3g speeds. Now it seems to be fixed
aniket September 24, 2011 at 9:18 pm
good c another war!!!
varun September 24, 2011 at 8:13 pm
@Prabal
I know 2G packs can be used in roaming but not 3G packs.
mandy September 24, 2011 at 7:54 pm
@Raghu
Hi Raghu,
We are keeping a eye on relaicne to launch its 3G services. as per the sources it might not get into an intra circle agreement due to some reasons.
Prabal September 24, 2011 at 2:55 pm
@varun
Don’t worry Varun, as per reply from Airtel CC there are no extra charges:
“We wish to confirm you that there are no special charges for browsing in national roaming. The charges and free data would be applied as per the plan opted.”
varun September 24, 2011 at 1:12 pm

VENKATESHWAR RAO September 23, 2011 at 2:25 pm
I am waiting for Vodafone 3G with bigger foot prints.
PRATIK September 23, 2011 at 2:15 pm
BSNL IS THE WORST AMONGST ALL SERVICE PROVIDER WITH HIGH LATENCY AND CONNECTION TIMEOUTS. EVEN IF YOU COMPLAINT TO THE TOP MANAGEMENT OF BSNL THERE IS NO SOLUTION.
Parasmal September 23, 2011 at 1:58 pm
Bhaya, Airtel marwadi bachho he, last main usko hi faydo hove..Yaad rakhio..Reliance 3G packs much better…idhar to khatro he
Saurabh September 23, 2011 at 12:27 pm
It’s the Mukesh Ambani’s company Reliance Industries which has 4G/BWA spectrum in India and not Reliance Communications which is providing CDMA/GSM/3G services. Both are different entities.
mks September 23, 2011 at 12:26 pm
still not affordedable

Can u pl let us know when Reliance 3g will be launched in Hyderabad?
Subhendu Mukherjee September 23, 2011 at 12:06 pm
Anyone using BSNL EVDO in Kolkata. Please share your experiences. Thanks in advance.
Jagan September 23, 2011 at 12:01 pm
This is a welcome move from Airtel. But they should stick with this offers.
novicefreak1 September 23, 2011 at 11:43 am
when is RCom3G launch in Hyderabad ,,,any information please!
jijo September 23, 2011 at 11:34 am
Reliance Netconnect plus(CDMA EVDO) gives me a constant speed of 1.8 Mbps to 2.5 Mbps(full signal). The speed may not be 7Mbps like 3G. But the tariff is quite decent. Rs499 for night plan(post paid) which offers 10GB of data(download speed is between 250KBps on an average). I also use BSNL EVDO prepaid 1GB for Rs.250 for normal browsing. BSNL’s EVDO has unlimited prepaid for just Rs.750 in their Rev.A modem. It is good only if we get decent signal strength. So why to go after these 3G players till they come down to decent, affordable and logical tariff plans?
Subhendu Mukherjee September 23, 2011 at 10:56 am
For the last 30 days BSNL 3G in Kolkata is very poor. Difficulty in login and then if successful login takes place at all, the connection is becomong dormant after about 15 minutes of data transfer. Speed ofcourse is 975 Kbps to 1.2 Mbps. Very difficult to use BSNL 3G. CC is completely ignorant or may be they are not bothered. This move from Airtel is very welcome.
ved September 23, 2011 at 10:55 am
Nothing compared to Reliance 3G it is really fastest 3G ,i was using BSNL 3G earlier BSNL was also good but RELIANCE 3G IS VERY FASTER THAN BSNl 3G …and also RELIANCE is providing cheapest pack 108pack 300MB for 30days,208 pack 750MB 30days etc………….Its really xcellent move by reliance ,and also 4G is ready on realince network ………….
AzK September 23, 2011 at 10:55 am
looks like consolidation has started in 3g data prices.hope they will bw priced more rationally.
prabuflash September 23, 2011 at 10:28 am
this is wat d msg i got recieved this morn!! it would be nice if the data plan is unlimited with speed cap post free download
kalpesh September 23, 2011 at 10:06 am
+10000
Kanchan September 23, 2011 at 9:32 am
Idea also reduced speed to 60kbps only. If you complain to cc they will respond ‘your parameter has been reset. blah blah …’
Gavin Mathos September 23, 2011 at 6:21 am
Voodafone is also providing Dobule Data Usage for its Prepaid Subscribers of Maharashtra-Goa Telecom Circle Subscribers.
sid k p September 23, 2011 at 1:58 am
airtel is no one in earning , as rcom is also copying him as airtel fool customer rcom & others also started !
Harish September 23, 2011 at 1:05 am
Good move by airtel. make 2GB for 200/-
i45 September 23, 2011 at 12:24 am
making the right move after BSNL increased their plans…..
Then wat abt after 3 months..i think its promitional….anyways they’l rob the customer after this.
Vikas Patidar September 23, 2011 at 12:04 am
Okay let’s hope for something good from all other operators. As the ROYAL operator has started steeping down then other must come up with some more attractive offers.
amar September 22, 2011 at 11:52 pm
these plan’s are far better than EVDO DATA plan .
It’s for CDMA/EVDO operator to reduce their DATA price particularly MTS which gives most costly DATA plan and bad network coverage.
Rohan Singh September 22, 2011 at 11:15 pm
Idea withdrew it’s unlimited 2G plans in Kolkata. Now just 300Mb@16Rs & 2GB @ 98Rs. 3G getting a bit cheaper and 2G a bit costlier.
Md SAJID parwaiz September 22, 2011 at 11:14 pm
\\\\\ not so cheap /////
novicefreak1 September 22, 2011 at 10:49 pm
BSNL heed now……hopless network and crazy plans from bsnl…. I regret porting to bsnl…poor 3g indoor coverage!
sayantan September 22, 2011 at 10:40 pm
voda 3g still too costly in kolkata.
crater September 22, 2011 at 10:39 pm
still way to costly….prices should match present EDGE prices if they want volumes…
