3G network need in Udgir City
sathish September 13, 2012 at 7:47 pm
Till now there is a no 2G network at Benaulim,Goa.Even it is a famous tourist spot,then how one can get 3G network?
Abhijit December 1, 2011 at 7:48 am
You might be near Mumbai- Pune Express Highway so you get at least all operators 3G NW on Terrace…
But Here in Karjat, Badlapur-Ambernath area being populated,educational & Industrial area, then also only BSNL 3G is present from last 2 Years… But not a Single Private operator’s 3G is present until yet!!!
If we compare private operators 3G coverage with other circles, then Maharashtra being an ‘A’ category circle, then also 3G expansion is very Slow here… So Here also Private operators are Biased with Maharashtra only!!!
Where in Gujarat, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh & UP circles has more towns covered or even villages covered by 3G tower by that same private operators…

No 3G signal detected tried with 5 different 3 Enabled handsets Very sad airtel always thinks public are foolish….When they have no capacity to launch why they announce they want to save them selves from penality…
vijay August 5, 2011 at 12:01 pm

PD August 5, 2011 at 11:51 am

@Amar Jain
Vasai- Virar comes under MH-GOA circle, Mumbai Circle is till Bhayandar.
Amar Jain August 4, 2011 at 6:42 pm
I am tired of checking with Airtel customer care operators, they say that Virar comes in Mumbai circul, but no 3g here. Further, data limits of 2gb is very less for people like me whose internet is on for 17 to 18 hours. I also read post a while ago telling that Airtel may provide speed up to 21 MBPS, but surprisingly, the USB modems working with Airtel are only in the range of 3.6 MBPS and 7.2 MBPS. Checked with Huawei, they have only one modem working with Airtel, E173 (7.2 mbps) again. And it is the only company producing 21.6 MBPS modems.

@Jagan: airtel dont have 3G license in maharashtra & goa. it is totally depend on roaming with idea and vodafone 3G networks.
Jagan August 4, 2011 at 11:45 am
@anuj Please clarify that – Is Airtel dont have own 3G license in Mah&Goa? Or Airtel customer can use Idea/Voda 3G, where AT’s 3G coverage not available even it has own license.
abhijeet August 4, 2011 at 11:41 am
Do we need to explicitly activate 3G?
Coz in mumbai circle, i didn’t have to do it and my airtel sim automatically latched on to the 3G network.
But here, it’s not catching idea network even though it flashes a message “Home network selected”
Pratik Chourdia August 4, 2011 at 11:22 am
There is no any tariff details for Maharashtra and Goa circle on airtel official website

vodafone 3g has good network coverage and speed in pune and other parts of maharashtra.
anuj August 4, 2011 at 1:13 am
i just checked & confirmed that 3G can actually be accessed on airtel maharashtra now. it seems to be in roaming agreement with idea as well as vodafone!
after activating, one can manually select vodafone or idea. both 3g networks can be accessed on airtel sim. when i selected idea, it gave me around 125kB/s download speed & when i selected vodafone, it gave me around 180kB/s speed on my nokia 5235. i am yet to check it on laptop. i was hoping for free trial but its not available & i was forced to select one among 11 data packs via sms. i activated 37rs 30min free data pack & it got activated withing 2 mins of confirmation message. when i select to automatic mode, 3G gets latched to idea network by default may be because its stronger than vodafone & i have to manually choose vodafone. i am prefering it right now because of higher speed. i think this is the advantage of having roaming agreement with 2 operators simulatiously. & i was forced to select one among 11 data packs via sms. i activated 37rs 30min free data pack & it got activated withing 2 mins of confirmation message. when i select to automatic mode, 3G gets latched to idea network by default may be because its stronger than vodafone & i have to manually choose vodafone. i am prefering it right now because of higher speed. i think this is the advantage of having roaming agreement with 2 operators simulatiously.

@Gavin Mathos
Airtel 3G will soon be available at all places were IDEA 3G is available because it is on IDEA network.
Susanta August 3, 2011 at 9:10 pm
There no use to launce 3G 4G 5G till affordable price. Bt Now a days in 2G, airtel hike their prices then how its possible to get more nd more customer.
Gavin Mathos August 3, 2011 at 8:54 pm
Good to see Airtel Launching 3G Services in Maharashtra-Goa Telecom Circle. But Vodafone hasen’t Launch its 3G in most of the Cities, Towns & Villages in Maharashtra State & Goa State (Maharashtra-Goa Telecom Circle).
So Airtel should Launch its 3G Services in most of the Cities, Towns, & Villages in Maharashtra State & Goa State (Maharashtra-Goa Telecom Circle).
PD August 3, 2011 at 6:56 pm
I still fail to understand why these operators are not concerned about the 3G usages, especially with regard to video calling. I am open to voda for the last few months and airtel recently but never received a single v-calls. All I do is that for a change I see myself holding cells in both hands…! MTNL offers 1/2p sec calls and bsnl too with little more pay out. But pvt players all, cling on Rs. 3/- per min. IT is time that they revisit their tariff structure !
