AIRCEL today announced the much awaited launch of its 3G Mobile and Data services in two more cities Guwahati (Asaam) and Bhubaneswar (Orissa).
After its home turf of Chennai (TN), Karnataka, UP East (Lucknow), Kolkata, Patna (Bihar & Jharkhand) now Aircel 3G services available in Guwahati (Asaam) and Bhubaneswar (Orissa). The operator said that it will launch 3G services in remaining cities and circles in the 3rd week of March-2011.
As an Introductory offer Aircel announced FREE Trial of its 3G service for all its postpaid and prepaid subscribers in Guwahati (Asaam) and Bhubaneswar (Orissa) telecom circles. To Avail the FREE 3G Offer subscriber needs to send SMS “START 3G” to 121 or “TRY 3G” to 121.
For convenience of prospective 3G Mobile and High Speed Data service users, there is no changes for Voice and SMS tariff and it will be charged as Aircel 2G GSM Plan and customer can clubbed any 3G data plans specially tailored for all segments as their needs and suitability.The 3G local, STD and Roaming Video Call cost will be 5 paisa/sec (Rs.3/minute).

Well buddy still uninor is not present in villages but yes they r installing new towers Bcos while travelling i got 3-4 signal bars where i didn get signal during my earlier visit

i have also gone to TN and Kerala and u may be able to get signals i have nothing to say on that and even if u get signals the call clarity is not clear that is the main issue.

I’VE GONE FOR KERALA AND TAMILNADU I’VE OBSERVED THAT AIRCEL HAS STRONG COVERAGE IN TAMILNADU IN BOTH INDOOR AND OUTDOOR. MAN, I’VE FACE SO MANY NETWORK PROBLEMS OF AIRCEL IN ANDHRA PRADESH TOTALLY WORST NETWORK OF ANDHRA PRADESH. AS PER RAGHU INFORMATION I WENT FOR ANDHRA PRADESH FOR TELECOM RESEARCH PURPOSE. REALLY WORST NETWORK. EVEN THE EMPLOYEES OF AIRCEL ARE SO WORST THAN ANY OPERATOR IN ANDHRA PRADESH. TOTALLY COVERAGE IS WORST IN HYDERABAD AND SECUNDERABAD. Ya ur rite,My uninor number got ported to Idea cellular day before yest, using idea’s 1/2p per sec tariff for 3 months with 1GB data free for one month plan.. Network is really good but not like uninor, uninor is rich in quality compared to any operator

DO YOU KNOW WHY AIRCEL LAUNCHED 3G IN KOLAR, BECAUSE KOLAR DISTRICT IS ONE OF THE GATEWAY OF NATIONAL HIGHWAY 4 CONNECTING TO CHENNAI VIA BANGALORE.SO THAT EVERYTIME CHENNAI PEOPLE COME TO BANGALORE BY THIS HIGHWAY. Hope I Think So. But Surely I Think They Will Cover Entire Karnataka i.e. Almost Vodafone Coverage. But I Don’t Know Why Tata Docomo And AirTel Has Not Rolled Out 3G In Kolar. Coz From Past 2 Months I Was Observing Only I Was Getting BSNL 3G Signals, And Now I’m Getting Aircel 3G On My Nokia 5230 Mobile. Really Two 3G License Holders (AIRTEL AND TATA DOCOMO) are Waste for Kolar District.

Well, first of all the device will be not be able to upload data at 8 Mbps.
Secondly, your upload speed is only 15 to 16 kbps, this may be problem concerning with the BSNL please call CC and report the issue.

Mr. Avinash the upload is never goes above 15 16 kbps even in early morning if its due to users?? while download speed is 100 to 180kbps max so can u explain me that what is the real fiasco behind this speed molestation
there is no much diffrence between uplink 8192.000 and downlink 8192.000 respectively than why so much diffrence between upload and download speed i remembered my 5 days back QoS when uplink was much less and my download speed was 200kbps 270kbps

Negotiated QoS means that the maximum data transfer capacity provided by the service provides, actual speed may vary which includes many factors such as network congestion, users per tower, etc.

the tariff is too high BSNL has video call at 70 paisa per minute and promotional 30 paisa per minute and data too 250 we get 512 mb free and extra data 25 paisa per mb isnt it affordable compared to aircel.

bsnl negotiated QoS uplink 8192.000 downlink 8640.000 but not getting download speed more than 1.5 mbps since 2 days in 3G sim and not more than 250kbps in 2g sim card
What the hel happened to bsnl atleast bsnl shud provide 3 to 3.6 mbps minimum speed but after withdrawl of unlimited plans bsnl is not providing speed to 3G customers

So Aircel is providing a Down-link speed of 3712/1024 = 3.6 Mbps and Up-link of 384/1024 = 0.375 Mbps.

Negotiated QoS values here in lucknow are 384.0 for uplink and 3712.0 for downlink. Signal strength is -85dBm. I am getting speeds of average about 2mbps.

I’m using FREE Trial of AIRCEL 3G. Download speed is average at 1-1.5 Mbps and max. at 2.5 Mbps. Browsing is just a little bit slow. Upload speed is bad – 0.04-0.07 Mbps only over HSDPA !
AIRCEL may have deployed HSUPA but can’t comment as I don’t have HSUPA enabled Handset or DataCard.

Note that in Odisha, AIRCEL 3G also available in Cuttack & Jajpur Road.
