WhatsApp is expected to bring three new features to its personal messaging app in the next update. Two of these features are related to the stickers, while the third update focuses on a group chat feature and is being termed as the 'Dismiss as Admin’ functionality, which was recently rolled out to both Android and iOS. The report comes from WABetainfo which is a popular WhatsApp blog, updating about new development related to the messaging platform. According to the blog, the Double Sticker feature is already under development and is speculated to ship soon to the users. The other two features which are the location sticker and the 'Dismiss as admin’ has been added to the latest beta update, which as we mentioned in our earlier article as missing.
To give you a hint of what these three features do, we have outlined a brief description of all three of the updates. The Double Sticker feature is supposed to save the space on the chat screen while users send two or more stickers at once in the chat. The second, Location Sticker feature will come under the sticker pack in two themes. It can be used to put a location tag on the media like photos and GIFs etc. The third feature of 'dismiss as admin’ basically allows other admins of the group to demote an already existing admin of the group to a normal member. Previously to remove someone from the admin position, that admin had to be removed from the group and then re-add again.
There are also rumours going on about a private reply feature in the group chats of WhatsApp. WABetainfo has also described a similar feature where the user can tap and hold on a message and tap on the three dots menu, and then further tap on the name of the sender to reply privately to the message which was sent in the group chat. However, no official reports have come out into the light regarding this new update.
The WhatsApp Dismiss for Admin feature is currently with the stable version of Android and iOS.
