Uninor continues to witness strong subscriber growth across its 13 commercial circles. In Gujarat, Uninor added highest number of subscribers during February 2012 making it number one in terms of subscriber additions.
More than four lakh (as per COAI) subscribers chose Uninor services in the month of February alone, the highest ever by Uninor in Gujarat, clearly establishing the success of “Uninor Etle Faydo” campaign where a consumer gets more talk-time than the recharge amount.
Also cumulatively in 2011, Uninor Gujarat was the 2nd highest on subscriber addition, adding over 1.6 million subscribers, beating BSNL.
Since the launch of its services, Uninor has competed successfully in all its commercial circles, adding more subscribers than any other mobile operator in India in 2011. Uninor added 2.34 million subscribers in the month of Feb 2012, taking its total user base to 41.14 million.
Competition has always delivered affordable tariffs and better quality services for Indian customers. A customer in Delhi today pays upto 60% higher tariffs for the same services as compared to a customer in Gujarat. Delhi, ofcourse, does not have a single new operator competing in the market. Uninor still awaits spectrum to launch services in Delhi.
