Tata Docomo Launches Rs 229 Prepaid Plan With 1.4GB Data Per Day for 35 Days

Tata Docomo, the out-of-the-action telecom service provider has introduced a new prepaid tariff plan of Rs 229 that offers benefits for 35 days. Tata Docomo is now providing services with an Intra-Circle Roaming agreement with Bharti Airtel, but that doesn’t mean the telco is out of action. Docomo’s all-new Rs 229 plan comes after the launch of Rs 148, Rs 179, Rs 348 and Rs 499 prepaid plans which also offers daily data benefits and unlimited calls. The all-new Rs 229 plan provides the user 1.4GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day for a period of 35 days. Having said that, this plan is valid for both the existing and new users of Docomo.

Talking about the benefits, the Rs 229 plan provides 1.4GB data per day for 35 days, which takes the overall data benefit to 49GB. The voice calling is not unlimited, instead, Docomo limits the calls to 250 minutes per day, post which the telco will charge 30 paise per minute. And lastly, users can send 100 SMS per day free to any network. Also, do make a note that the roaming incoming and outgoing calls will be free on Tata & own sites, while in other network sites, the calls will be charged as per the base tariff plan. There’s no mentioning about the weekly calling limit though.

This plan is not applicable for commercial use, same as other operators tariff plans. Having said that, the data benefit is limited to only 3G network since Docomo did not launch 4G services in the country. The company is currently offering services through Intra Circle Roaming Agreement via Bharti Airtel, so only 3G data has been provided to the telco.

Alongside the Rs 229 plan, Docomo also has a bunch of other unlimited combo plans starting at Rs 148. All these plans offer unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS per day, but the data benefit differs with each plan. The Rs 499 plan gives 1.4GB data per day for 90 days, while the entry-level Rs 148 plan offers 2GB data for a period of 28 days. There’s another attractive plan of Rs 82, which sadly is valid only for few users comes with unlimited roaming calls, 100 SMS per day and 2GB data for 28 days.

TATA DOCOMO became MVNO now. They sold their business to Airtel. And now docomo users get Airtel 3G with awesome speed, better than JIO in most of the places, not everywhere.

We use Tata a lot in mumbai.

Tariff plans are excellent after airtel buyout. Network is good since it can latch onto airtel too.

tata docomo was once number 2 operator in maharashtra, My primat number of tata indicom is 15 year old and was running on T24 (tata docomo-big bazar MVNO), after airtel byuout it was latching to airtel for 3G- i didnt face any issue with eitehr tata or airtel network. but was looking for 4G network hence ported SIM1-T24 to jio, and SIM2- jio to airtel. ( i wish i could have again gone back to T24. just wishing that airtel wont be killing Future group t24 brand (MVNO), after all Airtel sold its easyday (bharati retail brand) to future group.… Read more »
