Sony Xperia Z3 and the Xperia Z3 Compact, which were launched last week are already on sale on Flipkart. Sony had quoted their prices of Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact at Rs. 51,990 and Rs. 44,990 but looks like they will be sold for at least Rs 3,000 cheaper than that. Flipkart has listed the Xperia Z3 with a price tag of Rs. 48,990 while the Xperia Z3 Compact has been listed for Rs. 42,149.

Sony has definitely priced its high-end smartphones heftily, especially when compared to the LG G3. The 16GB variant of the LG G3 is priced at just Rs. 36,907 while its 32GB variant is priced at Rs. 39,100 on Flipkart. If Sony wants good sales of its smartphones, they need to drop its prices to match LG's offerings, let alone competing with the likes of upcoming smartphones such as Xiaomi Mi 4 and OnePlus One which are supposed to be priced under Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively when they launch by the end of this year.
