Users can enjoy cheap international calling to India and 24 other destinations at just 1.17¢ per minute. This plan comes with no contract, hidden costs or deposits, the company said. Reliance said that it has over 2.5 million global subscribers. The company said that it noticed that a large section of people do not have a high demand for making international calls.

"These users either don't subscribe to these plans, or end up feeling (justifiably) that their money is wasted. And nobody likes wasting money. They simply want a small pack with adequate minutes for brief conversations with family, friends, business associates or clients overseas," said Ashutosh Nagre, Marketing - Global Business (Voice), Reliance Communications.

The Value Pack gives users, who don't frequently make international calls, the option to pay according to their need, and allows them to make international calls at really low rates (1.17¢ per minute). It also enables users get access to an intelligent smartphone app - Reliance Express Dial - which saves them precious time and money while making international calls. This app works just like online calling apps, but does not need the Internet to function.

The service is backed by a robust infrastructure ensures that users get unmatched voice quality and connectivity.

Obviously, users are delighted. "Work keeps me from talking to my family and friends back home (India) for long," said Wisconsin-based Satpal Singh. "Spending around $15 a month and getting the 'unlimited plans' was effectively a waste of money for me. Now I can spend enough time staying connected with loved ones. 600 minutes each month is enough for me since I'm not the kind of person who likes calling others every day."
