Idea’s own 3G network now starts appearing in Kolkata

Looks like Idea Cellular is all set to launch its own 3G network in Kolkata ahead of the launch of its Vodafone 4G in December. Idea's 3G signal is now appearing in many places with constant signal throughout Kolkata. We earlier reported that Idea Cellular may launch their own 3G network during Diwali. Vodafone to ramp up head count to 15,000 in two years

Consultation paper by Trai on spectrum pricing by November-end: Report

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai), the telecom regulator, may float a consultation paper by the end of this month to ascertain the reserve price of spectrum across different bands that the government is planning to auction next year, ET reported. Call drops: Trai asks telcos to focus more on 2G networks
