State-run telecom operator, BSNL is silently making its moves in the broadband department by rolling out new tariff plans and also by removing the installation charges along with other changes. The company is continuing the trend and has rolled out two new Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) plans in Kerala.

BSNL's two new plans are Fibro ULD 1045 and Fibro ULD 1395. Both the schemes offer same benefits, but the FUP is slightly higher in the premium Rs. 1395 scheme. According to the official Kerala site of BSNL, these two plans are already live in Trivandrum, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad & Calicut SSAs of Kerala Circle only. So, if you're a resident of any areas mentioned above, you can enrol under the new plans.

With the Rs. 1045 plan, BSNL is offering up to 20 Mbps download speed till 50GB and up to 1 Mbps beyond the 50GB limit. And the Rs. 1395 plan gives the same speed of 20 Mbps, but the FUP is higher at 75GB and customers can enjoy 1 Mbps speed beyond the FUP limit.

Furthermore, BSNL is providing one free email and 1GB of free space to the email with both the new plans. Recently, BSNL has waived off the installation charges on a pan-India basis, but for both these plans, new customers have to pay one-month charges as a security deposit. Customers who opt these new plans can opt out only after one month.

Do make a note that both the plans don't offer any voice calling benefits and the free calls will be charged according to the landline plan you choose additionally, which is a letdown. A customer can also pay for one-year, two years, and three years right away as BSNL is offering both the plans as yearly schemes.
