Bhiwadi, Neemrana get Airtel 4G services

Airtel has announced the launch of high speed 4G services in Bhiwadi and Neemrana. With this, Airtel has expanded its 4G footprint in Rajasthan to seven towns, with services already available in Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota, Alwar and Bhilwara.

The services are available across a range of devices including dongles and hot spots. The 4G customers can enjoy uninterrupted HD video streaming, superfast uploading and downloading of movies, music and images, claimed the company.

Commenting on launch of Airtel 4G, Manoj Murali, CEO – Rajasthan, Bharti Airtel said, “As customers in India show an increasing propensity for consuming data services, we at Airtel are excited to take the lead in introducing customers in Rajasthan to their first ever experience of blazing 4G speeds. Today, as we launch Airtel 4G for our customers in these two towns of Rajasthan, customers can look forward to a superlative data experience.”

The customers who wish to avail new 4G services can walk into the nearest Airtel store and switch to 4G SIM. An instant swap of SIM is promised by the operator. The prepaid 4G packs starts at Rs. 21. As a launch offer, Airtel sells 4G at 3G data prices. The customers can also ask for home delivery of 4G SIMs.

For promotion of its new service, Airtel has established partnerships with e-commerce giants and device manufacturers. To say, numerous 4G devices on Flipkart are now bundled and delivered with Airtel 4G SIMs. Customers can enjoy special 4G double data offers on the purchase of selected 4G handsets.

For those who availed the SIM, follow the below steps to change the network:

  1. SMS SIM <20-digit SIM Number> to 121 from your Airtel mobile
  2. Reply 1 to confirmation SMS and wait for phone to get disconnected from network
  3. Insert 4G SIM, switch on handset- select LTE in network settings

For strengthening its networks, Airtel carries out a network transformation program ‘Project Leap’. Under the project, the service provider invests Rs. 60,000 crore over the next three years to meet the growing demand of voice and high speed data services in India.
