As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives, Bharti Airtel has entered into an agreement with the State Government of Karnataka under Aasare Project to provide shelter to flood-affected families in Raichur district with the commitment to take up construction of the houses at an estimated cost of Rs. 1.70 crore.
According to the announcement by company, It would construct the houses at a relocation center near Raghunatha Halli in Raichur taluka in Karnataka state.The housing project would start soon and be completed within 100 days.
The company also promised to provide 2,000 public call office phone sets Free to all needy unemployed youth from the families as an employment creation measure.
Mr.Venkatesh V., Chief Executive Officer (Karnataka Circle), Bharti Airtel Ltd., signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on behalf of the company.He handed over a copy of the MoU to Deputy Commissioner Mr.V. Anbu Kumar.
