Vodafone to roll out 3G network in Kerala, a quick comparison of 3G plans available in the circle

Vodafone has announced roll out of 3G network in Kerala circle within next 3-6 months time. The company will use 2100Mhz 3G spectrum acquired in March 2015 auction. Reliance launches Rs. 499 offers 30GB 3G + 30GB 2G pack

BSNL to add 2000 new 3G BTS in Kerala circle Kannur to get 330 new 3G BTS, a smart move to counter private operators

As part of Phase VII expansion, BSNL will be adding around 2000 new 3G BTS in Kerala circle. With this expansion BSNL wants to double its 3G footprint in the circle. Videocon to launch 4G services within 6-8 months, can this be a game changer ?

Videocon Telecom is in process of launching 4G service in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar telecom circles. The company plans to start 4G service in next 6-8 months time. 203 Tourist places to be covered by BSNL 3G

Ministry of Tourism has written a letter to BSNL asking to cover 203 tourist places with 3G services soon. Theses locations are currently covered by BSNL 2G connectivity only. Global: $100 million fine on AT&T for slowing ‘unlimited’ data, Indian regulators are you listening ?

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has fined AT&T $100 million for slowing down subscribers using its unlimited data plans. FCC has accused AT&T of offering 'Unlimited' plan to customers but slowed down speed after subscribers cross certain limit. According FCC, once subscribers reach a certain limit, AT&T throttled their speeds and slow their internet down. Airtel hikes 2G data packs in Punjab, 1GB Pack to cost Rs 199

Following Idea's recent revision of 2G and 3G data packs, Airtel has revised its 2G data pack offering in Punjab circle. The validity and data available on existing 2G packs has been reduced.
