Bharti Airtel International Roaming Plans Starting at Rs 296 for Prepaid Users Offering Easy Talk Time Options

Update: Airtel has removed the Rs 196 Foreign Pass, and currently, subscribers can opt for the Rs 296 and Rs 446 plans across all the circles.

With the lowering of tariff rates for data, calling and roaming the effect of the same has also been the same in the international roaming plans. Telecom operators are shipping attractive prices for the international roaming plans which they offer. On the same lines, Bharti Airtel is providing three very attractive international roaming plans for its subscribers starting at Rs 296. These plans will allow a convenient way to the subscribers for keeping in touch with their friends and family back in the home country without shelling out many bucks. These “Foreign Pass” plans will be available in three options which will be available for Rs 296 for 40 minutes, followed by Rs 446 for 75 minutes. Very recently, Airtel also removed activation charges of 199 on international roaming for both prepaid and postpaid subscribers.




Airtel Foreign Pass With International Roaming Calling for Prepaid Users

As mentioned, Airtel launched these three plans under 'Foreign Pass' program. The two plans of Rs 296 and Rs 446 offer free local voice calls and outgoing voice calling benefit to India. The Rs 296 plan which offers 40 minutes of voice calling for 30 days. The Rs 446 Foreign Pass provides 75 minutes of international voice calling for 90 days.

According to extensive customer research by Airtel, a user usually wants to connect with family/ friends upon arrival at a destination, and these new packs have been designed to help address the problem of quick, short calls overseas without the hassle of buying local SIMs.

Airtel Foreign Pass is First of its Kind Program

As mentioned at the start, Airtel Foreign Pass scheme is a first by any telecom operator in India. Usually, telcos are providing international roaming service to postpaid users, and prepaid users have to shell a lot of money to enjoy services while in another country.

How to Activate Airtel Foreign Pass IR Packs

Activating these IR Packs is as simple as doing a recharge and customers can activate the pack through My Airtel App, or the Airtel website: www.airtel.in/ir in addition to walking to any of the nearest retailers.

Airtel Foreign Pass Will be Available to Customers in 20 Countries

Airtel also stated that these recharge packs will be available to customers for the following 20 countries: UAE, Nepal, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, USA, Qatar, Kuwait, Malaysia, Singapore, United Kingdom, Srilanka, Bahrain, China, Canada, Germany, Australia, Hong Kong, France, Netherlands and Thailand.

Airtel Has a Slew of International Roaming Packs for Postpaid Users

Airtel has already launched affordable postpaid International Roaming packs for all major countries across the world. These packs come with convenient validity options of 1 day, ten days, and 30 days and offer loads of benefits including free incoming calls/SMS, calling minutes and texts both to India and the local country as well as data to stay online.

Airtel has an international roaming plan for postpaid users of Rs 649 which gives unlimited incoming calls, 100 outgoing minutes to local numbers and to Indian numbers, 100 SMS and 500MB of data for 1 day.
