Now that we are even closer to the commercial launch of the most awaited Indian telecom operator, we think it would be nice to give you a virtual tour of the manufacturing and packaging of the Jio 4G sim cards. Earlier we had reported that Jio has been importing sim cards from China. Below is a video showing the manufacturing and packaging process of the Jio sim cards.

'Pack Smart' a company headquartered in Ontario Canada and having production facilities in Asia and Europe is the one manufacturing the smart sim cards. This company also manufactures sim cards for American MVNOs like Lycamobile, Go phone  and European MVNOs like Lebara mobile and Vectone.

Towards the end of the video you can see the packaged sim cards with the Jio logo and branding. On opening the pack, a smart sim is visible along with Jio branding in various colours and a symbol of the Indian map. Keep reading TT for more insights updates on Jio (P.S. we don't have the launch date yet).

Thanks to Kiran Fernandes for the tip.
