Google Duo is one of the best video calling application Android users have right now. And the application is going to get one of the best features users have requested for in recent times. Yes, we're speaking about multi-device support itself. As per the latest Google Duo v27 APK teardown done by folks at Android Police, a few strings suggest that multi-device support will be enabled very soon, allowing users to connect with others with their Google account.
At the moment, Google Duo requires a phone number to allow registration on the platform, and if the user registers the same phone number on another device, the first phone will ask for re-authentication. But that is going to change in the future as the search giant will allow users login into the Duo application with their Google account, making phone number a secondary option.
However, it's unknown for how many devices will Google allow logging-in at once, but there will surely be some limit. Nevertheless, multi-device support on Duo will give users a slight relief, especially for users who use multiple devices.
Also, users can connect with others using the Google account. You might be wondering there's Google Hangouts for the same operation, right? Yeah, there is. But Google has a feat of launching multiple applications with the same functionality, and the search giant looks to continue the same.
Also, the APK teardown did not reveal whether users can log in with two different accounts in a single phone. It's highly unlikely that Google will bring multiple account support to Duo because we have Hangouts for the same.Recently, Google Duo picked up audio calling support, competing with WhatsApp.
