An Apple iPhone 7 image leak on Weibo shows the rear camera protruding outwards and appeared to be slightly beveled. The image, which it claims to be a real photo of an actual iPhone 7, further shows that the position of the camera has changed from center to the top-left corner. Whether this image is true or not, it perfectly matches the earlier leaked schematic that showed the camera on the top-left.
The camera holes are also bigger in size than seen on the current iPhones. The larger iPhone 7 Plus is expected to feature dual-camera set up in the rear. Although it’s not clear what the second lens intends to perform, reports claim that it may not be used to click monochromes as seen in Huawei P9. Rather, a prettier guess is that it allows users to employ optical zooming. Dual-camera set up is said to be limited to 5.5-inch variants of iPhones, the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro.
Another addition in iPhone 7 will be a smart connector port, enabling users to magnetically connect accessories like smart keyboard to the phone. Also, the phone may not feature much changes in its visual appearances. There are rumors on iPhone 7 being waterproof, which may justify the reason of why 3.5mm jack has disappeared. In lieu of the headphone jack, Apple will mostly rely on wireless Bluetooth and Lighting connector headphone accessories instead for audio output.
Regarding the colour variants, iPhone 7 is rumoured to come in a darker hue, mostly Space Black, a color seen on Apple Watch. The iPhone 7 is expected to be unveiled at an Apple event in September. Although the rumors flags the specs of the iPhone different from one another, it’s sure that next iPhone comes loaded with iOS 10.
