World’s largest smart band maker ‘Fitbit’ is going to make a debut in India next month. The company will present its plethora of fitness smart bands and fitness trackers in the Indian wearable market from July 1st.
Fitbit has collaborated with the e-commerce giant, Amazon India to sell its products nation wide. Moreover, the company has also set up an office in New Delhi in order to expand in the offline retail segment as well. It will be bringing the complete range of products to India ranging from the entry-level smart bands to high-end bands such as— Zip Tracker (INR 3,000), Fitbit Flex (INR 6,990), Fitbit Charge (INR 9,990), Fitbit Charge HR (INR 12,990) and Fitbit Surge (INR 19,990).
As per a report by BGR India, Steve Morley, vice-president and general manager – Asia Pacific for Fitbit, said, “We are the only ones to have consumer wearables that monitors heartbeat continuously. We have the technology that tracks sleep without the user having to put the device into sleep mode,” he said.
Fitbit is the most popular brand in the wearable segment worldwide, even the US president, Barack Obama was seen wearing Fitbit Surge during his morning runs. The Fitbit Surge comes pre-installed with GPS to track users running schedule and location and the Charge HR comes with regular heart rate monitoring. The entire range of device by Fitbit is targeted at fitness enthusiast.
