The BlackBerry 10.3.1 update was under the process of being circulated today, but an issue with the BlackBerry Passport had caused temporary delay in the process. Apparently, many Passport users have reported an issue of flickering screens. BlackBerry product manager, Michael Clewley has tweeted that the company is working the issue and a fix is being tested and the rollout of BlackBerry 10.3.1 update has been re-initiated.
Clewley also informed via tweet that the company has slowed down the update speed, he also requested the BlackBerry 10 users to be patient. Other BlackBerry smartphones to receive the update include BlackBerry Z30, BlackBerry Z10, BlackBerry Z3, BlackBerry Q10, BlackBerry Q5, Porsche Design P’9982 and the Porsche Design P’9983. Interestingly, BlackBerry Classic comes with the pre-installed new OS build.
In addition to the flickering screen issue on the BlackBerry Passport, Clewley also tweeted regarding the low volume of ringtones on the BlackBerry Q10. He suggested the Q10 users to first select override profile volume and then increase the volume. Hopefully your BlackBerry 10 handset updated to BlackBerry 10.3.1 without issue.
We are going to continue the rollout, many users are happy with the update. Passport issue is being tested and will keep you all updated.

@MichaelClewley Low volume ringtone on Q10 seems to be helped with selecting override profile volume, then increase volume. Hope that helps — D Cort (@YYZtoronto) February 23, 2015
