MTS High Speed Data is costly in Gujarat still. They are providing 512 Mb data at Rs. 189/- for 30 days. The MTS data tariff in other circle is less. Their customer service is also poor. MTS Sucks !

    # why 3G in India got failed?
    # why operators now force peoples to use 3G?
    # why operator now made 3G at 2G cost?

its all due to high cost
    lack of cheap rate plans
    lack of unlimited plans
need to purchase new technological devices

so do people retained with 2G inspite of the high speed
same gonna happen in EVDO REV-B too

Someone needs to burst MTS’s bubble and make them have a look at the plans 3G operators are offering that too with speeds as high as 21.1 Mbps. MTS’s plans are way over priced, who will buy locked data cards with such high tariffs when they can easily pop in a 3G sim card in any unlocked 3G data card and use better network at lower tariffs. Its best if MTS packs its bags and quits operations in India.

in all your posts, you seem to act biased as you always give hostile reviews against MTS, as specific reason for that?

@Anshul–I totally support Esmail..Why mts data plans are so costly when they hv cdma deployed over 800 mghz? Take a look at reliance evdo..they also provide rev A bt at a very cheap price of 1.5 gb/mnth @ rs 94..Also whn gsm players hv reduced the 3g cost, mts should bring down their data prices..otherwise they will stuck with voice in future..

this is data focused voice enabled operator.

Mts should participate upcoming gsm spectrum auction to get huge number of customers because cdma service is not so popular as gsm.

I don’t know what is wrong with MTS. Rs 303 for 1GB 30 days?

The best one is Rs 255 for 0.5GB 30 days on roaming. Who is going to buy these plans when 3G going all cheap as 2G?

MTS still hasn’t learned any lesson.

mts is lost in data… it has only customers in voice… they launch new LATEST smartphones with ANDROID 2.3… guess what i used to think Russians are cleverer but now realized they are too dumb….u should be happy they launched 255 for 0.5gb, not 555….
htc one has launched superb phone cdma+gsm for 46k… these guys can really subsidise the phone for 26k-30k… there will be many takers… they will never do… they think they are too clever but to me mts is nothing but a joker in the court of telecom…

+1 the future is dark for mts they could have skipped revb and directly jump off to lte and start providing lte along with subsidised lte handets like Z1,G2,One etc this would indeed help mts tap a lot of potential customers. But all you find mts doing is providing 3-4 years old handsets which even a beggar would not buy.
