newly introduced: MTNL Mobile TV powered by M/s Apalya
MTNL is launching Mobile TV service in association with M/s. Apalya Technologies Pvt. Ltd for both 2 G and 3 G subscriber. By Using this service, customers will be able to view live TV on his Handset. From about 40 channels available presently, the bouquet of channels will be increased by including more channels in future.It may please be noted that GPRS or 3G is not required for using the Mobile TV service. It is required only for downloading the application. No other is setting is required in the handset.
In 2G mode the TV will play in ‘store and play’ mode. A 3 minute video of the selected TV channel will be downloaded and play which will be repeated once the last clip is played.
In 3G mode the TV will play continuously.
TARIFF for the services :
1. All channels per Month: Rs 150(Excluding Premium channels).
2. One channel per Month: Rs 50
3. One channel per Day: Rs10 (24 Hrs from the time of registration).

mtnl, while giving good benefits to new customers, shud transfer same benefit even to old customers, may b on payment of one-time nominal charges. so even old customers can b happy n dont lament.

Vinay this type of cases or issues are facing by every operator subscribers this is not for MTNL, i think MTNL having it less compare to Idea, VF & Airtel.

So if the conflicts are between Mtnl& Bsnl on call termination charges while roaming into Bsnl network. then why Mtnl is not reducing roaming charges while roaming between MTNL Delhi & Mtnl Mumbai network at least their own network is present in both circles..

mtnl coupons r really confusing. they had 80 rs 3g jadoo n activation with 28 = 108 for lifetime.
now they hv just 40 rs pack with same benefits but aadditionally all onnet (LL+mobl+cdma) at just 5 ps/min at night. although here validity is 1 year. good plan.
however, i hv observed that in mtnl calls r charged even when v dont get the recepient’s voice or his ringtone. so in that case, pps billing plans r good coz u get billed for the used sec.

Then how Bsnl can give All @ 49ps/min or 1ps/sec while roaming on Mtnl network also?? does Mtnl doesn’t take call termination charges from bsnl, while Bsnl user is roaming in Mtnl network!! If Bsnl can give all @ 49ps/min from Mtnl network also then why not mtnl all @48ps/min from Bsnl network??

Just for your info, many operators are in few circle but they do not provide the STD at Local rates with in their network!! Only MTNL provide that, like any subscribers of MTNL service i.e GSM-3G Mobile/Landline/CDMA can able to make call between Mumbai-Delhi MTNL network as local call without any pack.
So all the time MTNL is interested to provide the cheapest tariff with in its boundary.
Just one day back MTNL Mumbai’s Executive Director said to media that MTNL is always ready to provide the cheapest STD calls to across India but BSNL is not ready for that. The Roaming Rates is pending due to BSNL,because still the call termination charges between MTNL-BSNL nor=t revised.

Mtnl is limited to Mumbai & Delhi only 2circles….So they can give free video or free voice call between Mumbai & Delhi or at lower rates…Bsnl operates whole country in 20circles… And Bsnl has All @ 1ps/sec & All @49ps/min even while roaming also but still Mtnl is not giving it…..
