Idea Cellular today launched Aurus IV -  new Android-powered 4.5-inch 3G smartphone for Rs.8,999.

The latest addition in Idea Cellular's 's Aurus smartphone series, the Aurus 4 comes with 4.5-inch display, 1.3 GHz dual-core processor running on Android Jelly Bean,  512 MB RAM, 4GB Internal memory (2GB available for end user), expandable up to 32GB with SD card, 1800 mah battery, 5MP fxed focus primary camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera for 3G video Calling.

According to Idea Cellular, Aurus IV sports a rich screen resolution of 480x854 pixels with 16M colours. The smartphone is designed to offer faster Internet browsing, email updates, games and smart applications and widgets.

Idea Aurus IV  is the 13th Smartphone from Idea Cellular in the last two years, and the company has previously sold over 6 lakh devices in the 8.89 cm (3.5”), 10.16 cm (4”) and 11.43 cm (4.5”) categories, in the Indian market.

Few days back Idea Cellular had also launched its first five-inch smartphone 'Ultra' - 5 Inch dual-SIM 3G Smartphone (phablet) with 8MP camera For Rs.10,500.

Idea plans to retail the new Idea Aurus IV through its own retail and service outlets across major 3G markets – Maharashtra & Goa, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Gujarat, UP West & East, and Haryana.

As a special offer with Aurus IV, Idea users across all major 3G markets can avail 3G data benefits of 3GB 3G Mobile Internet & Free Idea TV for 3 months, with a pack priced at Rs. 259 – Rs.261.
