BSNL Launches FRC326 for Prepaid 3G Data Card Subscribers

Pan India 3G GSM Mobile service operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today announced the launch of New First Recharge Coupon (FRC) of Rs 326 for prepaid 3G Data service customers who purchase the Data Card from BSNL.

The FRC326 comes with account validity of 180 days and offers 12.5 GB data credit for the first 60 days of activation (10GB during night hours+2.5 GB during day/any time usage).

If this FREE DATA usage is exhausted within 60 days from the date of activation, the customer has to use regular Data TOP Ups of minimum value of Rs50 to his main account to browse the Internet further.

Data charges beyond the FREE usage will be deducted 50p/MB from the main account during the remaining period of DATA RCV validity. Whenever the DATA plan customer browses the Internet, without subscribing to any of the DATA RCVs, the browsing charges will be at 1p/10KB

As a promotional offer the operator also gives 100 MB extra free data credit for the NEW customers enrolling from 25th September, 2010 to 20 December, 2010, on activation of FRC 326 DATA Plan, the FREE Data usage for the first 60 days will be 12.6 GB (12.5 GB + 100 MB). The FRC 326 will be available only in printed coupon option.

Apart from the above new FRC, BSNL also has two existing FRC51 and FRC99 which provides 180 Days account validity and 6GB/5GB free data usage for 2 months respectively.

    @Abhijit
1.This FRC is only for Data Card, and after the free bundled usage, you can recharge with any of 3G Data Plan.

2.Data charges beyond the FREE usage will be deducted @ Rs.0.50/MB from the main account during the remaining period of DATA RCV validity.

3.After the completion of freebie period of 60 days, the customer has to use any of the DATA RCVs to continue in the DATA plan. Here also, during the validity period of the DATA RCVs, if the FREE DATA usage is exhausted, the customer has to use regular TOP UP of min. value of Rs 50/- to his main account to browse the internet further. Data charges beyond the FREE usage will be deducted @ Rs.0.50/MB from the main account during the remaining period of DATA RCV validity.

4.Whenever the DATA plan customer browses the Internet, without subscribing to any of the DATA RCVs, the browsing charges will be @ Re.0.01/10KB.

5.If customer use the SIM Card with Mobile Phone, than Base Voice Tariff Plan
will be as per prepaid General 120 plan.

@ Sanjay Bafna, I want to clarify some points…
    1. With FRC 326 we get 180 days account validity so after 60days of activation all Free Data usage will be exhausted then remaining 120 days whether we will be charged Rs0.50/MB from main account balance or Rs.0.01/10kb from main balance??

    2. After 180 days main account balance validity will get expired then to increase it’s validity whether we have to recharge with Mobile Recharge Voucher for Ex.RCV Rs.280 gives 365days validity in main balance, with Rs.44 main account talk time or whether we have to recharge it only with Data RCV to increase main account validity and Data Balance Validity both??

3.And finally can we use 3G Data Card U-Sim in our Mobile Handsets for Video, Voice calls & Incoming calls & Sms services while in Mobile?? If Yes, then we can recharge it with Mobile Top-Up voucher also , to get full- talk time in main account balance for video, Voice & Sms services…

I m waiting for your answers because I am thinking of purchasing 3G Data Card…

bsnl is not expanding its 3g tower to many places.it is leaving the job unfinished as usually is the case.strange as to why it leaves its job unfinished.it provides evdo but all its towers doesnt have evdo even within the same city.

Offer on FRC is limited for new subscribers only. The reduction of data plans were very attractive, but there should be 1 GB data for around rs 200 for old subscribers, then people will use the service regularly.

The 3G price will take at least 6 months to get down because it has come just now in India.

In France, with the fiber optic, the internet speed is around 30 to 80 mbps depending on operators with only Rs.1200 per month.

But What about GPRS plans for prepaid still not available for Maharashtra circle under 2G segment? Only default 1ps/10kb until yet.
