Ahead of its official 4G launch, Vodafone has started offering 1GB of data for free to its subscribers who book for a 4G supported USIM. We had reported earlier that Vodafone is going to launch its 4G LTE services on the 24th of January.
To encourage customers to use 4G services, the company has offering free data to users with a 4G supported handset (Band 3). Those users would have to send a SMS containing 'Voda4G' to 199 (toll free).
Upon requesting for 4G SIM, customers can visit any Vodafone Stores at 29 locations in the Kolkata circle to get a 4G SIM without any hassle. The free data would be added to the customer's data balance on the day of 4G launch.
If you are on Vodafone's network using 4G device, you can acquire a SIM card and follow the mentioned steps to get the data for free, which would be valid for 10 days for prepaid users and for a billing cycle for postpaid users.
If you're from Kolkata , don't forget to let us know how easy it was to swap the SIM card from Vodafone.
