Tata Indicom, the CDMA mobile service operator today introduced ‘EK Behtar Zindagi’, the latest bouquet of IVR based VAS offerings for customers in rural areas powered by Handygo, which aims to provide day-to-day information to rural India.
Tata Indicom subscribers across all circles can dial 556780 to access information regarding health, education, finance, weather updates, mandi rates, livestocks, agriculture and fisheries.
The operator launched some subscription packs on Daily and Monthly basis for this VAS at a minimal charge of at a minimal charge of Rs. 5/10/20 per month and gets 50/100/200 minutes for 7/15/30 days respectively or can continue using the service at Rs. 2 per minute on 55678. The service is available in all the respective states regional languages along with Hindi and English.
Within this initiative, Tata Teleservices Limited has employed 50 blind people in association with the National Association of the Blind, Mumbai and the Blind Relief Association in Delhi. These employees have specifically been chosen to make calls for the product Behtar Zindagi, and to further incentivize the employees, handgyo provides additional bonuses to the most successful callers on a monthly basis.
