S Tel, the latest entrant in the Indian GSM mobile space, gets great response on its mobile service in Himachal Pradesh telecom circle. It has announced that company enrolled 1,00,000 GSM subscribers in Himachal Pradesh circle just in 50 days. The operator's tariff plan of Rs.1499 is the most popular among its subscribers which provide 60 minutes of local calls free daily with the validity of one year.
S Tel is a telecom joint venture between Siva Group (formerly Sterling Infotech Group) and BMIC Limited, a subsidiary of Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco), had launched operations in Himachal Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar & Jharkhand in December 2009.
In just 50 days, we have clicked a 1 lakh subscriber base in Himachal. Through our new products we aim to provide a greater degree of flexibility for the specific needs and have introduced low denomination packages for the trial where a subscriber can choose a plan as per his or her requirement.Our network has expanded and is providing services in 9 districts now, which is the fastest roll out for any network here, said Mr.Balwinder Chawla, COO for S-Tel Himachal circle.
