The Cyanoges OS 12 update based on Android 5.0 Lollipop has been one of the most anticipated updates off late. Even though the relationship between OnePlus and Cyanogen has seen a southward revision in the past few months, the OnePlus One is the first device to get the update. The update for the YU YUREKA has just started undergoing certification and will be out later this month.

Coming back to the update, it is available for all the OnePlus One users globally as it was promised by Carl Pei, founder of OnePlus. The update has seen a fortnight's delay as it was initially expected to start rolling out on March 30th. But the update has been worth the wait as it brings a host of goodies with it.

The update brings the famed Material Design based UI that has been the highlight of the Lollipop update. As has been the case with Cyanogen ROMs, this one is highly customisable too. It comes with a new App Themer that will let you apply themes to even individual applications.

With the update, the mail client from Cyanogen with the moniker Boxer has also made a debut. It gets multiple account integration, LED notifications and many other customisation options too. And then there’s the OxygenOS ROM based on Android Lollipop available too for the OnePlus users.
