Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif has become the world’s most searched celebrity in mobile videos, ahead of Britney Spears who ranked second, according to the findings of latest Global Video Insights Report for September, released by Vuclip, the world's largest independent mobile video service and VAS content provider.
Among the Top Mobile Devices/Mobile Phones people used to watch videos globally, Apple’s iPhone continued to lead the list followed by BlackBerry Smartphones according to the reports by Vuclip.
The top ten celebrities globally also included India’s Kareena Kapoor (Global Rank: #4) and Sonakshi Sinha (Global Rank: #6), alongside international stars such as Lindsay Lohan, Beyonce and Shakira.
Back home, Sachin Tendulkar emerged as the most searched male celebrity in mobile videos in India. Among the most watched clips in India, topping the charts was Ajay Devgn’s joke on Kangana Ranaut’s bikini shoot for the movie Rascals; followed by Vidya Balan’s two gossip videos about The Dirty Picture..
Baba Ramdev’s reply to Rakhi Sawant’s wedding proposal also made it to the top five most watched mobile videos in India in September 2011.
Among the top mobile devices people used to watch videos globally, Apple’s iPhone continued to lead the list. It was followed by RIM’s Blackberry handsets that secured seven spots in the top 10 mobile devices list for September, followed by two Nokia handsets.
Top Tune In India - October 2011 :
The report also said that Bollywood song Chammak Challo was this month’s Top Tune and hasproven its place on top of India’s pop charts. While super star Shahrukh Khan gets the glory of performing the tune in “Ra.One”, the catchy song has made Akona a popular name with India music fans.
Besides the Bollywood star, three big movies made up half of top six. Interest in Bodyguard, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, and Mausum was undeniable in September.
