Facebook, BSNL to power 100 WiFi hotspots in rural India

After Internet major Google, Facebook is also preparing to tap the country’s Wi-Fi market. It has already partnered Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. Compensation regulation for call drops is here to stay, says Indian telecom regulator

The Indian telecom carriers have been asked by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India to ready a mechanism to ensure compensations to consumers in case of call drops starting January 1. Telenor India’s operating losses widen to NoK 373 million for the September quarter
