Bharti Airtel gulped an undue benefit of Rs. 499 crore in Chennai-Tamil Nadu merger, reports CAG

The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India rapped the Telecom Ministry for providing Bharti Airtel an undue benefit of Rs. 499 crore by allowing them to merge Chennai circle with Tamil Nadu during 2005, in a hasty manner.
