BSNL, MTNL TIE UP WITH CONEXUS TO OFFER AFFORDABLE DATA ROAMING

mtnl bsnl with conexus mobile allianceState-run telecom operators BSNL and MTNL announces that they have entered into an alliance with Conexus Mobile to offer their subscribers a cheapest and flat international data roaming plan.

BSNL and MTNL are the the 1st Indian telecom operators who join in this alliance to provide the cheapest International GPRS/Data roaming to their mobile subscribers world wide.




"As part of the agreement the customers of MTNL and BSNL would get unlimited data (Mobile Internet) roaming service by paying a lower fixed amount per day while roaming in a member country," MTNL Chairman and Managing Director RSP Sinha.

Conexus Mobile Alliance, one of the largest mobile alliances in Asia with a combined customer base of around 160 million mobile subscribers.

The State operator s today announced the launch of  India's first-ever pay-per-day data roaming flat-rate tariff plan and a host of member privileges, with an aim to deliver ground-breaking, genuine and tangible benefits to international roamers and realize its vision of offering the highest level of customer satisfaction in mobile services to corporate and consumer markets.

Currently 10 member-operators from 12 countries, including Japan's NTT DOCOMO, Hong Kong-based Hutchisson, Indonesia's Indosat and Sinagopre's StarHub, are part of the Conexus allinace.
