TP-Link, a US based smart home products maker widely known in India for selling Wi-Fi routers is now looking to make products within India. To do that, TP-Link has partnered with Optiemus Electronics to manufacture its devices in India. Optiemus Electronics will make the smart home products that TP-Link wants to sell in India. This is in line with Indian government's goal to motivate more companies to make their products within the country.

India wants to become the next manufacturing hub for the global companies and giants such as Samsung and Apple are already making their products in India.

"This collaboration reinforces TP-Link's commitment towards the 'Make in India' vision and bolsters India's resolve to become the global hub for telecom and electronics manufacturing," the two companies said in a release.

Optiemus Electronics will make a wide range of products for TP-Link including home Wi-Fi routers, modems/gateways, enterprise routers, cameras for security, GPON (ONT), and more. Optiemus Electronis can produce up to 6 million devices per year for TP-Link and this can enable the US based electronics seller to not only serve the customers in the Indian market, but also export to international markets.
