Under this, Echelon Edge will take care of the deployment of 5G SA (standalone) private network. With the private 5G SA network, mines can improve operational efficiency and safety quickly. It will ensure reliable connectivity with high-speed data delivery. A wide range of applications will be supported by this 5G network which will transform the mining operations for the company. This will include voice and video communication, 5G camera-based surveillance, and asset tracking.
With the 5G network, a virtual reality model of the Amlohri Coal Mine can be created, digital twin tech for Load Haul Dump operations can be enabled and a 5G-based V2X-based collision avoidance system can be set in place. Additionally, AI-powered traffic control solutions will optimise haul road crossings, enhancing both safety and efficiency.
