BSNL introduces Intranet TV (BiTV), offering over 300 live TV channels, movies, web series, and documentaries at no cost to mobile users in Puducherry. This service, delivered in partnership with OTTplay, leverages BSNL's mobile intranet for uninterrupted streaming. BiTV will expand to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand in January 2025, with plans for nationwide availability soon. BSNL aims to replace outdated PRBT systems with this solution, offering a more modern entertainment experience.
"BSNL will be one of the first telecom service providers to revolutionise its old PRBT by offering this groundbreaking service," shared the BSNL CMD.
"Together, we're unlocking the magic of cinema and entertainment across genres, languages, and regions and redefining how BSNL customers experience digital entertainment in India," added the Co-founder and CEO of OTTplay.

2. National Wi-Fi Roaming Facility
BSNL extends its National Wi-Fi Roaming Facility, which it introduced in October 2024, to rural areas, beginning with Manadipattu village. This service allows both BSNL and non-BSNL customers to access high-speed internet through a network of Wi-Fi hotspots nationwide. BSNL FTTH and mobile users can easily connect via their existing plans, while non-BSNL customers can pay via UPI.
According to the CMD of BSNL, this initiative aims to bridge the rural-urban divide by providing affordable internet access across India,
