Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a state-run Indian telecom operator, is working to elevate the experience of consumers in the near future. It isn't just through 4G, but the telco is also undertaking other measures to ensure a more satisfying experience. BSNL is bring eSIM technology for its customers by March 2025, the telco has confirmed. Then, to improve the latency in its networks, it is in the process of installing cache servers at various locations across the country. Thus whenever 4G is available, a better experience is guaranteed for the users.
VoWi-Fi is also being tested on BSNL networks. With the availability of Wi-Fi calling at lower rate plans, BSNL can potentially poach customers from the private telcos. In addition, the telco's planning to bring home delivery service of SIM cards PAN-India. At present, the company has partnered with select companies in a few circles to do testing of home delivery services.

BSNL Might Bring Prime and Netflix for Users
The state-run telco has also confirmed that it is considering bundling Netflix and Amazon Prime for users with its mobile plans. Of course, this is still not guaranteed, as the company is only checking the feasibility of this at the moment.
The company has also said that it is not looking to hike the tariffs any time soon. So even when the 4G rolls out, consumers can be relaxed about tariffs. With lower tariffs, BSNL is looking to eat up the market share of the private telecom operators. That is exactly what the telecom operator has managed to do as well.

BSNL has been the lone telecom operator to continously add new subscribers since July 2024. Apart from BSNL, only Airtel has managed to add new users once in October 2024, as per TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) data.
