Enhancing Bandwidth with 1.2 Tbps Solution

Turkcell and ZTE collaborated to test the feasibility of ultra-high-speed Optical Transport Network (OTN) transmission with 400GE and 800GE client boards, along with a 1.2 Tbps line board in Bursa. The test equipment provided a 2x400GE and 800GE client interface for various flexible scenarios.

Compared to traditional 400G solutions, the 1.2T solution offers higher bandwidth and transmission rates. This service also supports a migration to 1.6 Tbps, ZTE added.

Demands for 5G Services

This advancement fully meets the urgent bandwidth demand for Turkcell's future 5G service development, the official release said.

Turkcell, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, said, "We are committed to meeting the ever-increasing capacity demands with 1.2 Terabit speeds and the use of 800GE and 400GE interfaces together within this huge capacity."

Turkcell says it remains dedicated to advancing network technology to meet the surging demand for network traffic in the digital era.
