Lenovo launched the Moto G5S Plus and Moto G5S smartphones in India in August for Rs 15,999 and at Rs 13,999 respectively. Motorola has now come up with limited period discounts on Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus smartphones. The smartphones appear to have received a limited price cut on Amazon India. This effectively brings down the price of Moto G5S Plus to Rs 13999 while the Moto G5S is going for Rs 11,999.

In addition, the e-commerce giant is offering exchange offers on two smartphones. You can also get up Rs 12,001 in exchange for Moto G5S Plus. There is an option for the exchange of Moto G5S with up to Rs 9,803 in exchange benefit.

The Moto G5S Plus (first impressions) comes in Lunar Gray and Blush Gold colours while the Moto G5S comes in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold colours. Both the Moto G5S and G5S Plus are upgraded versions of the original Moto G5.

In terms of specs, the Moto G5S Plus smartphone sports a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS LCD display of 1080x1920p resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage. There is also support for expansion up to 128GB with microSD support.

In terms of optics, the Moto G5S Plus boasts of a dual rear camera setup featuring two 13MP sensors. On the front, it has an 8MP camera with LED flash. The Moto G5S Plus is backed by a 3000mAh battery with fast charging.

The Moto G5S a smaller variant of and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. The device packs a 5.2-inch full-HD IPS LCD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC and 3GB RAM. The G5S offers a 32GB inbuilt storage and can support up to 128GB via a microSD card.

It comes with a single 16MP rear sensor with PDAF and a 5-megapixel selfie camera, coupled with a LED flash. The Moto G5S has a 3000mAh battery with fast charging.

The Moto G5S is slightly on the steeper side, but the G5S Plus at Rs 13,999 is a worth deal, at least for people who're looking for a Motorola phone. There's the Xiaomi Mi A1 available in the same price range, of course, it's available for a little less at Rs 12,999.

The Moto G5S Plus, when launched wasn't a great phone. Cameras in the device were poor, but the camera application has been tweaked now, and it's on par with other budget devices such as the Mi A1.

Additionally, the software has some Moto tricks too. Motorola is not the same company as it was earlier when it comes to software updates and monthly security patch updates, but it makes sure to provide a reliable software experience. The Android 7.1 Nougat UI on the G5S Plus is buttery smooth when compared to Mi A1's quirks.

Battery life is another aspect to consider Motorola devices, and the 3000mAh unit on the G5S Plus delivers a complete day of battery life with a single charge.

Motorola has reduced the price at the perfect time, and hopefully, the price remains the same in the future too.
