Swipe Elite Plus goes official with 4G LTE support and 13MP camera, at Rs. 6,999

Adding to the array of budget-smartphones, Swipe has unveiled ‘Elite Plus’ smartphone in India. Priced at Rs. 6,999, it will available via Flipkart and will be for sale from June 13 onward.

In terms of specifications, Swipe Elite Plus boasts of a 5-inch FHD IPS display equipped with DragonTrail glass, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. There is a 16GB internal memory for the smartphone, which is expandable up to 64GB. Camera-wise, the Swipe Elite Plus carries a 13 MP at its rear and an 8 MP snapper at the front. This dual SIM smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop, supports 4G LTE and has 3050 mAh battery.

This has helped us become a popular brand among the youth… In the next two years, we are looking at revenues of USD 100 million,” Swipe Technologies founder and CEO Shripal Gandhi told PTI.

Pune-based device manufacturer Swipe Technologies had reported close to USD 45 million in revenues, last fiscal. It targets to reach $100 million in revenues over the next two years and the company has planned for a couple of new launches this year. According to Mr. Gandhi, online sales account for 50% of its sales volumes. The company expects to sell about 2 lakhs devices of this 4G-enabled Elite Plus in the next four months. Swipe had previously launched three devices under ‘Elite’.
