What went wrong with my BSNL 3G!! It’s slowing down too much.. 200Kbps to 800Kbps was the speed I got but now 0 to 30 Kbps is the max speed I am getting since the begining of this month i.e. June.
Do I need to get a new 3G Plan recharge or is there any other suggestion?

    1gb —> Rs. 198 aircel

BSNL 3G plans works everywhere in india across all circles without any data charges in Roaming hence aircel in just few circles so bsnl is far better option from aircel.

What you are saying is right. But is there any TRUE unlimited plans (atleast 512 Kbps) in wireless plan in any provider?.
Then how can you praise WIRELESS broadband?.

I m not PRAISING wireless BB n also its not sensible to compare wireline n wireles BB.Its two uncomparable things when it comes to tarrif. When bsnl 3g used to provide unlimited plans, network was horible. connection drops, high latencies, poor speeds etc. Since they withdrew unltd plans, network has improved a lot. Wireless internets have a imp advantage of portability over wirelines and inorder to take full advantage of wireles BB, it is very important to have better quality of service.Dont forget that wireline is the base of wireless networks(backhaul connections intermediate networks etc) which itself tells that wireline networks have huge capacity compared to wireless.
Capacity of wirelines is not restricted. A ISP can lay down multiple high speed cables to increase capacity. But in case of wireless, there is restrictions on spectrum, BTS etc.. And the plans which bsnl (dsl) has offered is crap except night unlimited ones. Rs 750 with 4gb of 1mbps and post speed 512 kbps is NOTHING!( Dont tell me bought costly plans they are worst things)

It is succeptible to interferences and you will get only 50% to 70% of the bandwidth in any wireless conenction (2G GPRS, 3G, 4G, WiMAX (if distance is mote) etc). But in wireline broadband, you can get 80% to 95% bandwidth speed.

Absolutely Not! Let me present few examples of 3g network speed in my area during morning(4am-6am) hours(strictly regarding interference. NOT CONGESTION.)
BSNL provides peak speed of 450KBps(3.6mbps) i get 410-430KBps CONSTANT speed(with just 2 bar signal strenth) which is around 95% of bandwidth.
tata docomo offers 900KBps (7.2mbps) i get 810-850KBps CONSTANT SPEED (90% or more)
On vodafone 3g i have observered CONSTANT speed of 1.2MBps with peak speed of 1.4MBps

    Sudhakar :
    To Chintoy :
Congestion happens everywhere. But in wireless internet you get only less than 80% bandwidth. But the operators never care about it. That too the upload speed is worst (15 KB/s i.e., 120 kbps as far as I have seen).

You must be kidding!! Idea 3g With SE j20i (upload speed 2mbps) i ve seen constant upload speed of 120KBps(Note the unit pls its KBYTES) and 160KBps peak.
In huawei e1550,upload speed of BSNL, docomo is 45KBps

You guys do not analyze a connection and talk as if you have tested all the connections. Talk with common sense first. Damn it.

    Joke of the DaY!
    Cant Stop laughing :P

PS: For god sake dont ask for proofs of download speeds and try to carry ahead this debate.

Talk with 6th sense. Why you pay for 3 Mbps where you get only 700 kbps?. If the speed is 1/3rd then we should pay only Rs.250 per month for EVDO. They are collecting rentals every month without fail. Then what is wrong in expecting the promised speed?.

Congestion happens everywhere. But in wireless internet you get only less than 80% bandwidth. But the operators never care about it. That too the upload speed is worst (15 KB/s i.e., 120 kbps as far as I have seen).

If you all waste your money only for partial bandwidth speed, od not expect others users to be like that. Ok?.

In BSNL ADSL I get more than 60 KB/s download speed and more than 60 KB/s upload speed in 512 Kbps connection. I have also found out that the maximum attachment upload speed in free yahoo web email is only reaching 45 KB/s maximum compared to 75 KB/s (if bandwidth is above 512 Kbps and within FUP) when attaching files in GMAIL.

First TRY abd READ.Maybe a nursery course will improve your reading.I never said 700 kbps is acceptable. But its a decent speed to surf and download for a sensible man.speed depends on a lot of things like simultaneous users on 1 bts for evdo etc.Even dsl gets jammed if there are many users accesing internet on same wireline connected to a local dsl server.

    @Sudhakar
This is what i said.Read it i said you can get speeds ABOVE 700 kbps anytime on EVDO.That is the minimum we get.Normally you get speeds between 1-2.7 mbps. And for starters we never get full bandwidth even in dsl.So knock it of old man.

they can provide 3G mobile internet 2gb @ Rs.99. at the speed of 1.8 mbps

A welcome move by BSNL.At the moment, expecting wireless internet in 3G bandwidth cheaper than would be highly unfair given the penetration of 3G in India (only 1 crore with 3G against total 90 crore mobile connections).Given the bandwidth available(scarce resource of spectrum in 3G frequency of 2100 MHz, very high prices paid for licenses in limited number of circles, cost of infrastructure required, keeping pace with growing demand of bandwidth, quality of services offered, wireless broadband can just not be cheaper than wireline broadband. Moreover, in the samebandwidth, the operator has to offer voice/video calls also so during day time, demand for bandwidth in limited spectrum goes very high and same can be observed by fall in the peak speeds even in case of HSPA+(21.1Mbps) network of Idea, reliance and tatadocomo. Same is the cause of Fair Usage Policy (FUP) adopted by wireless internet operators for higher speeds. Therefore if one is a heavy user of internet then wireless internet is just not an option.Being a heavy user, I myself use BSNL broadband of Home ULD 750 (6GB@1Mbps & thereafter 512 Kbps). However, for carrying “mobile internet” to office and on the move, i use Tata Docomo 3G (unchallengeable best 3G service in Pune, MH).However, now BSNL also seem to be an alternative for cheaper wireless internet with considerable speed and data usage.

Finally BSNL has something good to offer….welcome steps! Feeling like worth to have ported in bsnl…..though a long wait of nearly 1 year,,,,I am seeing some reasonable plans from BSNL NOW.

Since past 1 year I guess BSNL was hand in hand with pvt operators (as they launched 3g)soon after pvt operators launched of 3G, within no time BSNL hiked all its plans to unreasonable and unjustified tariffs…..poor thing during this time I ported to BSNL I was way frustrated by this double act!! now finally smiles back I guess. BTB Rs 600 plan seems reasonable at this moment.

Excellent move by BSNL.Much better than what offered by private operators.

    Idea:1024MB=512+512MB(Rs.349, upto 31.03.2013)

    Vodafone:1000MB=500+500MB(Rs.375, for limited period offer)

    Airtel:1200MB(Rs.451.00)

Tata Docomo:720 MB +250 min (talktime)(Rs.246.00)[CHEAPEST ONE IN INDIA@1GB/Rs.344 with additional benefit of talktime]

Overall, BSNL move is still best however, Tata DOCOMO still leads the race with offering double data alongwith talktime.TataDOCOMO rocks. With consistent actual speed of 3.6 Mbps, Tata DOCOMO offering excellent services even with low signal strength (1 bar of HSPA+), we get atleast 1.5 Mbps speed in daytime.
With four bar of HSPA+ signals, 3.6 Mbps is constant speed whereas with Idea its much slower though sometimes it crosses 4 Mbps. Airtel is offering 3G services in Pune(MH circle using Idea/Vodafone Network under ICRA agreements against TRAI/DoT norms so anytime airtel 3G may go off the air so not reliable at all).

In summary, one should go for TATA DOCOMO (Tata being highly esteemed company, DOCOMO leader in 3G service technology from Japan with 4 yrs of 3G experience. If Tata Docomo is not available in any area then BSNL is preferred.
