Vodafone now has a new Rs 45 All Rounder prepaid plan that joins the existing list of prepaid plans like Rs 35, Rs 65, Rs 95, Rs 145 and Rs 245. Vodafone Idea has been making some changes in recent times to retain the existing subscribers. Vodafone Idea' subscriber base over the last year or so has come down drastically, thanks to some not-so-attractive schemes from the company. Right now, Vodafone Idea is the country' second-largest telco with just over 320 million subscribers under its belt and it already lost the top spot to Reliance Jio which is adding close to 10 million subscribers every month. Vodafone recently brought back the Rs 20 talk time recharge, and now, it has introduced a Rs 45 full talk time All Rouder prepaid plan in select circles. Read on to know more about the Rs 45 All Rounder prepaid plan from Vodafone.
Vodafone Rs 45 All Rounder Plan: What it Offers to the Customers?
As noted above, Vodafone has introduced the Rs 45 All Rounder plan in only select circles, probably in those where the company's radio network integration is finished with Idea. Notably, Idea also has the same Rs 45 prepaid pack as Active pack in the same circles where Vodafone has introduced. Some of the circles where Vodafone Idea introduced the Rs 45 plan are Bihar & Jharkhand, Assam, Karnataka, Mumbai, Kerala and so on. As of this writing, we were not able to get a complete list of circles where the telco has the Rs 45 plan.
Moving onto the benefits, the Rs 45 plan from Vodafone Idea is being marketed as a Full Talk Time plan, meaning it offers Rs 45 talk time benefit to the customers. However, it also falls under the company's All Rouder recharges joining the other plans such as Rs 35, Rs 65, Rs 95, Rs 145 and Rs 245. To recall, Vodafone Idea introduced All Rounder or Active Recharges last year after the removal of popular talk time plans. Other benefits of the Rs 45 plan include 100MB of 4G/3G/2G data and the voice calls will be charged at one paise per second. Do make a note that the voice rate cutter benefit will also be applicable for roaming calls as well. Lastly, the validity of the plan is 28 days.
Vodafone Idea Trying its Best to Retain Subscriber Base
Vodafone and Idea announced the merger back in 2017, however, it managed to receive all the regulatory approvals in the third quarter of 2018. On August 31, 2018, Vodafone Idea announced the completion of the merger, but actually, it was the real start of the merger. Since then, Vodafone Idea has been trying to integrate the networks of two telcos across all the popular circles and it' still in the process of integration.
In this process, Vodafone Idea introduced some non-consumer centric moves like removal of talk time plans, the introduction of minimum recharge scheme and so on. These moves were not received well by the consumers and they started moving out to other networks like BSNL and Reliance Jio.
Right now, Vodafone Idea is in the process of retaining its existing subscriber base because it did not add any new subscribers at least in the last six-eight months. Vodafone Idea recently introduced the Rs 20 talk time plan with 28 days service validity, meaning users will be able to keep their account active even by recharging the Rs 20 talk time recharge. Other ways to keep the Vodafone Idea account active is by recharging the All Rounder plans or choosing the Unlimited Combo plans.
