TATA DOCOMO the GSM mobile service brand of Tata Teleservices (TTSL) has taken another step towards achieving its aim of pan-India GSM coverage with a commercial launch in Punjab telecom circle today, bringing the total number of where it has a GSM presence to 12 circles out of 22.
TATA DoCoMo will be the 6th GSM Mobile service operator in Punjab, the five other operator in the Punjab telecom circle are Vodafone, Airtel, Idea Cellular, BSNL and Reliance GSM.
TATA DOCOMO also unleashed a wide array of products and services, riding on the back of path-breaking innovative products and services, & never-before tariff option.
The operator also announced its “Pay-for-what-you-use” model, with a pulse of one second, and a pricing of just 1 paisa per second.The Prepaid Starter Pack costs Rs 49 which comes with lifetime validity and zero talk time.
The company’s pan-India service rollout, which was kicked off in late June when South India and Orissa went ‘live’, will be completed this year itself.
According the statement by TTSL, Rest of the circles to be covered by this month are Rajasthan, Gujarat, UP East, UP West, Rest of West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh.
