India's first 3G Mobile service operator Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) is going to simplify the 3G Mobile and Data card setting process by providing unified or common Access Point Name (APN) for its prepaid and postpaid customers in Mumbai and Delhi circle.
MTNL all set to made easy and simple 2G GPRS – EDGE and 3G Settings for all handsets, Data Card, Tablets with signal unified APN 'mtnl.net' for all prepaid and postpaid subscribers in Mumbai and Delhi circles from 10th March 2012.
However MTNL customers using existing APN for 3G/GPRS Internet access may continue with existing APN for time being or switch over to new APN.
Presently MTNL has different APNs for 2G and 3G Data access over its prepaid and postpaid service; and these settings are also different in Mumbai and Delhi circles.
