Xiaomi is all set to introduce the bezel-less Mi Mix 2 smartphone on September 11 at an event in China. While the company is officially teasing the retail box and display of the Mix 2, a new Weibo post revealed two images of Mi Mix 2, which shows the gorgeous bezel-less display on the front.
The Mi Mix 2 will feature the 18:9 aspect ratio display, same as other flagship smartphones such as the LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8. What's interesting with the Mi Mix 2 is the lack of bezels of top and sides. The leak also points out that the screen will be of 6.4-inch and it will be an AMOLED panel. Also, it's a dual curved screen, same as the Galaxy S8 and Note 8.
At the bottom, there's a small chin which accompanies the front-facing camera. This is the same implementation Xiaomi made with the Mi Mix as well. It' surprising that Xiaomi is going with the same implementation because several users hated it on the Mi Mix because they have to flip the phone every time to click a selfie, which is annoying.
Nevertheless, with no bezels on top and sides along with a small chin at the bottom, the Mi Mix 2 looks gorgeous. There are some hardware specifications making rounds on the internet as well. Earlier, the Mix 2 is expected to come with a Snapdragon 836 chipset, but Qualcomm yesterday confirmed that the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset, and not the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 836.
Besides these, the phone is expected to have up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The Mix 2 is heavily rumoured to come with a dual camera setup at the back. The sensors are likely to be a 20MP primary one and a 13MP secondary one. It's expected that the phone will have a 16MP front-facing snapper.
The Mi Mix 2 is anticipated to feature a decent 4000mAh battery, and it will boot MIUI 9 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone will be officially on September 11, where the Chinese company will announce the pricing and availability of the smartphone. Are you excited about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2?
