Huawei’s Honor Holly 2 Plus is all set to go on sale on Amazon and Flipkart from February 15 at midnight, at a price of Rs. 8,499 in India. The device is touted to be designed especially for the Indian market, and it supports various connectivity options such as 2G/3G/4G LTE and CDMA.Commenting on the sale announcement, Huawei India President of Consumer Business Group Allen Wang said,“We have seen a good response in India. This year we expect a large number of feature phone users to convert to smartphone and that is where our focus is. We are looking for 300% growth in smartphones sales in India and Honor 5X and Holly 2 Plus are crucial for this,”
In terms of specifications, the Huawei Honor Holly 2 Plus comes with a 5-inch IPS display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz QuadCore processor clubbed with 2GB of RAM. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Huawei in-house Emotion UI (EMUI) 3.1 skin on top of it. In the imaging department, it is equipped with a 13-megapixel primary camera with Face detection, Geo tagging, Auto Flash, Continuos Shooting, Touch to focus, and High Dynamic Range mode (HDR). There is a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
There is 16GB internal storage onboard, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. It supports connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Bluetooth, A-GPS, USB connectivity, and is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery. Interestingly, Huawei sold whopping one million smartphone units last year, which also includes 8 lacs Honor brand of smartphones. Also, the company bagged third place worldwide in terms of smartphone shipments after ace players such as Apple and Samsung. It shipped 108 million smartphones in the year 2015.
