LANDLINE SERVICE PROVIDER CAN NOT USE ’95’ SERIES ANYMORE

RELIANCE ADDS 3.3 MN CUSTOMERS IN FEBRUARY

Reliance Communications (RCom) has added 3.38 million new customers in February 2009 on both GSM and CDMA networks, increasing its total subscriber base to 69.38 million.However,this is below RCom’s subscriber addition of around 5 million recorded during the previous month. BSNL TO ROLL-OUT 3G IN KOLKATA BY THIS MONTH END,700 CITIES BY JUNE.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), is all set to launch its 3G operations in 700 cities across north and east India by June and in the south by July.The services would be launched in east and west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, Jharkhand and Assam.BSNL plans to cover over 700 cities in the next three months. BSNL CUTS LANDLINE, WLL CALL RATES BY 50%
