BSNL Launches FREE Video Call Facility for 2G Subscribers in Kolkata

In an attempt to provide greater benefits to the GSM mobile service users, Pan India 3G mobile service operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) announced the launch of Free Video Call facility for its 2G GSM subscribers in Kolkata telecom circle.

Under the BSNL's Free Video Call Service offer, its Postpaid and Prepaid 2G-GSM subscribers in Kolkata will be automatically up-graded for next generation mobile services to provide the video call facility by default irrespective of whether customer is having 2G handset or 3G handset. However the High Speed 3G Data services will not be available for 2G customers along with this offer.




BSNL's Postpaid and Prepaid 2G customers using 3G handsets will be able to make video calls in 3G coverage area just at 30p/minute for Local and STD Video Calls to any BSNL/MTNL Numbers.The Incoming Video Call will be Free in Home circle and 70p/min or Rs.1 will be charged while in National roaming for Prepaid and postpaid customers respectively.
