BSNL has revised the charge for GSM SIM replacement for existing customers. Now to replace your defective or lost GSM prepaid or postpaid SIM you have to pay more. Earlier it was Rs 50 for prepaid.
Now for replacement of a 2G normal SIM you have to spend Rs 100 and for a 3G USIM 128KB you need to pay Rs 139. The prices are inclusive of all taxes. This price is also applicable in case you are migrating to 3G USIM from 2G SIM.
All other terms and conditions remain same i.e. you have to submit photocopy of id card and address proof etc. The new revision is applicable since 19.11.2012 and on all telecom circles.
