COAI releases GSM subscriber Figures for the month of May 2015, Airtel leads

The Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), the joined body of GSM operators has released GSM subscriber figures for the month of May 2015. The total subscriber base of all seven of its members reached 716.24 million at the end of May 2015. As per latest reports, Airtel is all set to launch 4G service in Delhi this week. Airtel has got clearance from DoT recently to launch 4G service in the capital. Reliance revises ‘Truly Unlimited’ Netconnect+ prepaid plans, now comes with 1X FUP

Telecom subscriber base at 1 billion, Tele-density increase to 80%

DoT allocates new MSC codes for GSM operators

DoT has assigned new MSC codes for Idea cellular, Vodafone, Uninor, TATA, Aircel and Airtel in circles Karnataka, Gujarat, Kerala, UP(East),  Andhra Pradesh, Odissa, Bihar and Kolkata. MSC codes allocation is the process followed by DOT to assign new number series for the operators. RCOM announce quarter results, data traffic up by 73.6%

Reliance communication has announced its financial results for quarter ended March 31, 2015. Total revenue for the company increased by 1% to Rs 5,703 core and EBITDA is up by 6.7% to Rs 1,976 core. Net Profit was at Rs. 228 crore, up 45.9% from Rs. 156 crore in Q4 previous year.
