OnePlus last month (in September 2024) launched the Nord Buds 3. The OnePlus Nord Buds 3 sounds like they are just what you need for the price. These are affordable earbuds from OnePlus, but they retain the design of the premium earbuds. The stem and the overall design are just like what you would see with the Nord Buds 3 Pro and the Buds Pro 3. But the question is, how do they sound? Let me lay it out for you simply.

OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Review: Design

There are two colours of the Nord Buds 3 - Melodic White and Harmonic Gray. The weight of the case is 46.2 grams and the buds is 4.2 grams. They are IP55 rated, and so are certified water and dust-resistant. The in-ear design is what I really liked the most about these earbuds the first time I saw them.

They fit comfortably in the ears, and there are more ear tips if you want to try the perfect fit for you. Accidental touches are a part of history with the design of the Nord Buds 3. The sensors are placed on the upper and the narrower part of the stem, ensuring that accidental touches do not ruin the experience for consumers.

OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Review: Hey Melody App and Overall Performance

Hey Melody app is how you pair your OnePlus Nord Buds 3 with the phone and also see other stuff such as battery level, EQ settings and more. Hey Melody has been on the market for some time now, and it is fairly easy to use. The app could be used to control touch functions, and also enter game mode.

The app is pretty simple, and allows users to get the best experience out of their earbuds.

OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Review: Performance and Features

oneplus nord buds 3 review sounds just (1)

The Nord Buds 3 are pretty amazing. They come with 12.4mm dynamic dual drivers and a dual-mic system. There's up to 32db of ANC support and the battery life goes up to around 40 hours in our experience. There's a 58mAh battery in each individual bud, and a 440mAh battery in the case.

The support for Google Fast Pair, Type-C fast charging, and Bluetooth 5.4 allows for a seamless experience. There is plenty of bass you will experience, and for some, it could be too much. So for that, OnePlus allows users to customise the EQ mode, and also disable the bass boost feature. The mic performance is decent, not the best.

ANC is where I didn't like the performance too much. While I won't expect a lot from an affordable earbud, the presence of ANC should have been better. Given the price, I believe everything you get with the earbuds is justified. Like I said, it sounds just right for the price.

One thing I really appreciate is the availability of dual-device connectivity feature. I keep switching devices constantly and that's a really useful feature that mostly I use with the premium earbuds. There's support for SBC and AAC codecs.

OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Review: Worth the Money?

I would say that you can definitely consider to you invest your money in these earbuds. They are not the best you will get in the market, but for the price, I would say it does make some contention based on its design and some useful features. There are plenty of features supported by the earbuds, some of them which I have detailed above are quite good.

How different are these from the Nord Buds 3 Pro? Well, quite different. I would say if you can, spend a little more money and get the Buds 3 Pro. However, if this is your budget, then that's fine too. In fact, coupled with offers, you can get the earbuds for just Rs 1500. To understand how you can do that, check the link above.

Rating - 7.5/10
Price - Rs 2299
