Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) has announced new unlimited 3G data STVs exclusive for East Zone. BSNL East Zone includes the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkahnad, Orissa, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikim, Tripura, Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Andaman and Nicobar islands. The new data STVs has come into effect starting August 1st, 2016.

The new unlimited 3G data STVs 351 offer 3G data usage of 1.5GB. While STVs 451 and 651 offer 3G data usage of 2.5GB and 5.5GB respectively. Similarly STVs 751, 851 and 951 offer 3G data usage of 7GB, 8GB and 9GB respectively. Once the free data is exhausted, unlimited internet access at reduced speed of 80Kbps is available.

The latest BSNL 3G unlimited data plans are similar to unlimited plans provided by other operators. However, calling these packs unlimited does not make any sense as internet browsing at 80kbps is not possible in this smartphone age. The only good use for these STVs would be to stop any balance deduction after exceeding the data limit.

MRP in Rs.       (Inclusive service Tax) Free Data Usage Validity of freebies  (calendar Days) FUP* limit without speed throttling

Note: Do check with your customer care before recharging for more information about the plans and their availability in your circle.
